Good thing that's what I'm working on

But it would have been good to figure this out before that first degree.

You Should Get a PhD in Liberal Arts (like political science, literature, or philosophy)

You're a great thinker and a true philosopher.
You'd make a talented professor or writer.
What Advanced Degree Should You Get?

Via Terminal Degree.

ETA: So if I get deported, at least I can get my passport back.

You Passed the US Citizenship Test

Congratulations - you got 10 out of 10 correct!
Could You Pass the US Citizenship Test?

Yes, dear US readers, I'm not joining your country. I ignominiously failed my US Citizenship test and got 2 right. I think I know which ones (US' enemies in WWII and who was involved in the Revolutionary war). But if Adams didn't write the Constitution, then who did?

It's a good thing I'm an alien, I suppose.

GS--sounds like a good plan to me. I'm going to need Cliffnotes on the end of the Cold War, too. And possibly a new library card, given that I thought someone turned in my library book in August and the library says they haven't seen it.

Priya, the question asked who wrote the Declaration of Independence. It was Jefferson. That may be your problem.

At least I'm in the right field, so it says.

Madison wrote the Constitution.

Good thing Priya's not planning to take the citizenship test anytime soon. Is it possible to get a negative score? And weren't you teaching tourists about the US last month?

What does the general match between the goofy little test and our actual aspirations mean? Did everyone but GSpice skew the results to fit what we thought we should do, or are we all so entranched in our fields that a different answer is no longer possible?

Yes, I'm supposed to be working. You can tell that because I'm commenting here instead. Next month, I'll be writing a novel instead of working. Or at least that's the plan. (Hint, hint, Serena. Lack of a cover is no excuse!)

Back to perestroika and glasnost for me.

I meant a book cover. No need to wait, I'm doing the writing month. Decided my schedule wasn't insane enough, and screw the grammar. My brother challenged me, and I never met a dare I didn't like.

The info's at www.NaNoWriMo.org. You should definitely sign up. :)
