NaNoWriMo update

2673 words down, 47327 to go.

And I avoided saying anything to the reporter that might possibly get quoted in any part of the article he was working on. And sat across from someone who specifically asked not to be photographed. Yay me!

I'll just go back to working on my paper for the Regional Conference now.

I've done nothing (not even booked my transport) for Regional Conference. I suppose it's too late to pike out?

But, good on you for starting another novel. Maybe this can be an alternative to the dissertating?

Hey Priya, you got my email last month that I can't come to the conference, right? Just checking. It clashes with important bits of the conference I'm being legitimately funded to go to, rather than magically aligning, as I was banking on. Sorry about that -- it would have been fabulous to meet you and Elizabeth.

Oh yeah, Elizabeth -- is NaNoWriMo procrastination for you, or are you that brand of mythical super-organised and motivated postgrad?

organized and motivated...hmm...maybe one out of two for E...and I don't think its the organized part...though maybe its a chaotic organization I am unaware of...lol

Hey now, I *can* be organized. Just because I'm not doesn't mean...well, no, I guess it does.

I'm organized enough not to forget my cell phone every day, but not so organized that I'm not scrambling along three days behind on my word count. And with my paper still not finished.

But hey, I work best under pressure. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself. You'll note that blogging falls very low on the list of priorities.
