Mission Impossible?

Well, no, not really. If you fancy giving up your current job and joining the CIA, you can. Check out which position suits you.

Apparently I am an excellent match for an "Analytical position". But then I'd have to be a US Citizen to join the CIA.

It's the French Foreign Legion for me then.

Okay, the analyst thing I get...but what the hell is up with these suggestions?

Foreign Language Instructor (um, yeah, I'd have to actually know a language first, presumably. A language that people actually speak now, as opposed to one that was used for some great poems twelve centuries ago. And I'd have to be able to do more in it than order a beer and find the local bail bondsman.)

Middle Eastern Language Specialist
(see above. Plus, why Middle Eastern? Do they know something I don't? I mean, other than the stuff they're supposed to know?)

Open Source Officer--Foreign Media Analyst (I don't even know what this means. I'm guessing it has something to do with reading newspapers for a living. Or watching TV--guess I could do that.)

Professional Positions (including, you guessed it, CIA lawyers. And librarians. Why does the CIA need special librarians?)

So I'm doomed to a life of briefs and translation. I'm with Priya--the French Foreign Legion is looking better and better.
