"So, ultimately, in order to understand nature it may be necessary to have a deeper understanding of mathematical relationships. But the real reason is that the subject is enjoyable, and although we humans cut nature up in different ways, and we have different courses in different departments, such compartmentalization is really artificial, and we should take our intellectual pleasures where we find them."

ok, i'll bite what you talkin' about willis?
Bradley Whitford, sponsored by an organization on campus, and I can get in free because I've got a student ID.
Bradley. Whitford. In person. See, this is a perfect opportunity for me to set some tough goals that I'll actually meet, in order to go to the event.
Of course, it won't work, because I won't be able to convince myself that I really won't go if I haven't completed something. Because I'm going. Full stop.
and to think i had no idea who you were talking about...LOL until I looked it up and realized I do know who you are talking about.
why such enthusiasm? Have I been watching the wrong things with him in them?
What? Are you kidding? Do you realize that I am going into withdrawal because they're showing the Oluympics this month? I'm like a Bravo junkie, flilpping to the station every hour just because it *might* be on.
I think I need help.
So, you want to go see his speech? There's a Q&A afterwards. :)
I assume that this speech happened yesterday....I was working at the ritz. I'm off today though...lol in case I didn't miss it...LOL
I missed or will be missing Brad :-( ::insert uncontrollable sobbing here::
No, no, no--it's going to be on the 13th. I think. So Serena, you could totally go, and BW (hee), you're probably out of luck. But I'll be thinking of you when I'm sitting in the audience.
What time and where would we meet? I hope its after 2:45pm :)
Have you read your email E about San diego trip?
I have--things are putzing along, as usual. More details later, but rest assured, we're going. I've never been west of the Mississippi before, so this'll be quite the experience for me. A whole extra ocean, just waitng for me not to swim in it.
I like west of the MISSISSIPPI! :) WEE, a side visit to Denver would be nice too :)
Still not sure about the whole "land of the evil sports teams" part of this plan. But I'm willing to go along with it, if it means that there's less chance of my being forced to spend time around a golf course.
golf course? what that mean? who golfing?
San Diego in March--you don't think they're going to be looking up golf courses with renatl clubs as soon as they step off the plane?
