It's all about priorities

I flinch at the idea of spending $5 on a t-shirt for work (maybe because I needed four of them?), but have no problem at all with a $7.50 polo shirt for my ipod.

Yes, my ipod is now very nicely dressed. Sporty, even. I'm thinking of popping the collar on it.

In my defense, the polo shirt has little green and blue stripes on it, so it coordinates with my bag and my spring coat that looks like a couch.

You have different coats for spring, E? And, $7.50 gear for an ipod seems about right.

I'm currently in a stage of ipod lust--I want an ipod! Or, some sort of device that helps me avoid talkative people on trains, planes and buses.

Yes, I whinge about not having a music player but don't do much about it. Right now, there's heaps of books I should be buying (that I need for my dissertating) and debts I have to pay off--no money for ipods, unfortunately :-)

I need to go home so I can get a cheap, dodgy version--or maybe even more than one for when the first one breaks down!

Hmm dodgy ipods? Interesting..maybe I should have sent you hope to get me one since I think these things are too overpriced like much new technology!

Hey, I love my ipod. Even if it is overpriced and was rapidly superceded by the later models and then replaced entirely by the nano.

I have a coat for spring, and then a bunch that are more "all purpose for anywhere but the office." A girl's got to have some choices in outerwear.

It isn't so much gear as a tiny little shirt with armholes for storing my headphones. And a pocket. Did I mention the pocket sewn on the front?

Speaking of cute, Serena--you've got to see the new bag I bought to replace the one that self-destructed in the San Diego airport. Much too big for what I thought I wanted it for, but I think it'll be great for work.

Why can't I find a bag in black that's 14" x 14" x 4" and has a laptop sleeve? In leather? With lots of little pockets for my gadgets?

Is that too much to ask?

I think they're going to take away my geek membership card.
