Maybe I'll just learn to love cricket
Earlier tonight:E: This is not a "we've snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, hooray!" sort of atmosphere I'm sensing out here.
S: No, it's not.
E: I guess that leaves me some free time in May.
S: Damn it, now I'm going to have to root for Calgary.

LOL the poor red wings..."beating themselves" as you would say!
this is why hockey and the hockey playoffs are so horrible-- the best team in the league gets swept out in the first round by the worst team?
no credibility. why do they even have a regular season in hockey? life was so much better when the NHL was gone and there was only the Olympics....
(yes, the hockey-nistas are going to come out and get me for my anti-hockey diatribe... I'm ready and waiting!)
I would come and smack some sense into you myself, but I'm too depressed.
I can't even hate Edmonton, because, well, it's the Oilers, and you just can't hate the Oilers.
why can't we hate the oilers? (I know nothing about hockey as you can see) HOW ABOUT THEM SOX, Kickin' those Yankee butts!
It's like kicking a puppy. No sport in it.
This may not be the best place to express anti-Yankee sentiments.
Next year is the World Cup - so if you want to really get into cricket, that might be the time :-).
With my luck, I'd pick the cricket equivalent of the Wings. I think I'll go be a Manchester fan, instead.
