Maybe I'll just learn to love cricket

Earlier tonight:

E: This is not a "we've snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, hooray!" sort of atmosphere I'm sensing out here.

S: No, it's not.

E: I guess that leaves me some free time in May.

S: Damn it, now I'm going to have to root for Calgary.

this is why hockey and the hockey playoffs are so horrible-- the best team in the league gets swept out in the first round by the worst team?
no credibility. why do they even have a regular season in hockey? life was so much better when the NHL was gone and there was only the Olympics....

(yes, the hockey-nistas are going to come out and get me for my anti-hockey diatribe... I'm ready and waiting!)

I would come and smack some sense into you myself, but I'm too depressed.

I can't even hate Edmonton, because, well, it's the Oilers, and you just can't hate the Oilers.

It's like kicking a puppy. No sport in it.

This may not be the best place to express anti-Yankee sentiments.

Next year is the World Cup - so if you want to really get into cricket, that might be the time :-).

With my luck, I'd pick the cricket equivalent of the Wings. I think I'll go be a Manchester fan, instead.
