One word about the West Wing

All I have to say is "Why?"

Why waste my time with that episode? Why take up perfectly good (and severely limited) screen time with a bunch of people we really, really don't care about that much? Why not use it for wrapping up the stories that kept us watching through the hell that was the fifth season? Why ignore the characters that have stuck with the show for years in favor of people who are entertaining but not terribly important to the overall series run? Why, for the love of all that's holy, why Amy Gardner????

Ahem. This has not been a good week for television so far. Maybe I should turn it back off for another week. And this time, leave it off for the shows that I usually watch.

LOL I missed most of WW sunday...all I saw was Smitts and Alda yakking it up in the office.

It's up now. And Smits and Alda *were* pretty much the whole episode.

I, too, saw the last bit and it was all about searching for schools for Presidential kids (and they end up in a public school in DC--ah, how sweet) and and old Hawkeye doing boring stuff. My newfound love to WW is slowly declining...

Priya, do check out the re-runs if you can...your newfound love will have a stronger foundation :-).

Elizabeth, I couldn't agree more. No significant characters....even CJ seemed to serve more the role of a prop than anything else. And the character, as it has been scripted, of the First Lady - Elect annoys me - she knows her husband is the President, and they will have a staff, obligations, privileges so get over it and stop pretending!
